MEP Manager- Convection District Development Company (CDDC) Purpose To lead and direct all Building Services within the development department. Manage, lead, and oversee the performance of the Design, Building Technology, Operation & Maintenance and Development Integration functions, while ensuring alignment with industry best practices, world-class standards, and statutory guidelines to meet stakeholder satisfaction, achieve profitability, following defined business strategy. To manage, oversee, and coordinate the activities of consultants and contractors in relation to the Mechanical, Electrical, and plumbing aspects of CDDC projects from the conceptual phase through to development and final construction stage, ensuring that the schematics are appropriate, and the set standards and objective are conveyed. Responsibilities Strategic Contribution ? Ensure effective cascading of CDDC strategy into business plans to ensure vertical alignment and horizontal integration with other interfacing departmental strategies. ? Provide vital technical and operational inputs to CDDC. Leadership & people ? Protectively develop, coach and train staff of Building Services section. ? Set target and evaluate performance of subordinates. ? Advise and assist all members of the team in discharging effective and efficient technical services in all outputs required. Polices, Systems, Processes & Procedures ? Develop & oversee the implementation of section policies, procedures and controls in line with the latest Building Services covering all areas of the MEP Design & Execution so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost effective service. Change Management ? Lead and direct the management of change through continuous improvement of divisional system, process, and practice, change in environment which demand proactive action plans. Quality, Health, Safety, & Environment Ensure compliance to all relevant quality, health, safety and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the section to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude. Operational ? Manage the activities of the various contractors and consulting to ensure CDDC’s standers are met from the concept phases through to final development stages. ? Analyze schematic and determine if the MEP requirements are being met to ensure functionality, fit for purpose, and cost effective for the facility to be develop. ? Manage the design team members on the implementation, development, & protection of drawings and documentation to ensure timely delivery of design submittals. ? Ensure compliance with the design procedures on aspects of design inputs, changes, review, verification & validation that affect design development. ? Check & ensure project quality plans and quality Management system/procedures are compliant with. ? Review & approve/disapprove the procurement function carried out by contractors as per required of CDDC. ? Conduct site visits during construction to ensure that all planned schematics materialized accordingly. ? Mange and provide assistance to the CDDC property operators on how much to spend on equipment and appliances. Related Assignments ? Perform other related duties and assignments as directed.
