Position: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Purpose The Senior Quantity Surveyor shall handle construction/consultancy and contractual payments, claims, variations as per the agreement and ensure that necessary payments are released through the Company system. Responsibilities - Conducting rate analyses to identify the cost of construction materials.
- Ensuring that the materials costs being charged are substantiated by the amount of work progress
- Supervise preparation of all data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents
- Verify the accuracy of all data including measurements and calculations
- Quality control of reports and deliverables
- Contractual correspondence and coordination with contractors and consultants.
- Performing regular site walk-around to ensure operational efficiency and completion of tasks as per timelines agreed in the contracts
- Conducting quantity surveying (auditing of measurements and materials).
- Analyzing, evaluating, and handling variations to finalize appropriate payments
- Perform any other related tasks or assignments as directed by line manager.
- Maintain and update a cost forecast sheet for each project.
- Plan the various surveying tasks to ensure that all contracts are performing as per agreed terms and conditions
- Preempt variations before escalation.
- Interface with all stakeholders in the QS cycle.
- Assist other peer staff on any issues of common concern.
Education & Experience - Bsc QS or Civil Engineering degree with at least 10 to 15 years experience.
- Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).
- Experience of at least 5 years in hotel construction or related experience in high rises, industrial and commercial buildings
- Experience in contractual management
