Position: IT Expert-Secondment Opportunity (6 months)-National Omani Hospitality Company (Dhiaffa)

Purpose
Manage and maintain the ICT Infrastructure of Omran Dhiaffa to meet business objectives, provide support and assistance using latest remote desktop technology wherever possible to minimize the downtime of ICT services or in person in special case, or manage ICT Annual Maintenance Contract for operated properties managed by Dhiaffa management or assigned by the line manager.
 
Strategic
  • Develop and maintain the ICT infrastructure strategy to suppor the business objectives of Omran.
  • Provide the necessary ICT support to Omran’s managed properties.
  • Develop the necessary policies, goals, objectives and procedures and ensure it is alignment with Omran’s Strategic Goals.
People
  • Communicate with ICT in charges in Omran’s Dhiaffa and properties and Perform on the job training and coaching for the ICT in charges in the properties.
Operational
  • Technical Evaluation and recommendation for owned properties requested by the Dhiaffa & Fund Management Department
  • Maintain and Support Dhiaffa Management/Tracking/Registration System.
  • Manage ICT Support either through remote, on premise or assign and manage AMC contracts for operated Dhiaffa including website, domains and email.
  • Oversee the information security and system audit to maintain the security of the server for operated Dhiaffa
  • Prepare and implement a disaster recovery plan to ensure backups are in place and data is secured for operated Dhiaffa
  • Implementing & pursuing backup plan for all data at operated properties.
  • Coordinate with different telecom service providers to ensure business continuity
  • Make regular planned site visits to all properties to provide the necessary support/audit whenever required.
  • Conduct research on new ICT technologies in relation with Hospitality/Tourism and present the latest technological availability to Dhiaffa management to improve guest experience and cost savings
  • Conduct research on social media trends which impacts the guest experience to enhance the guest satisfaction.
  • Conduct a system study and requirement assessment of the organization to interface Property Management System with ERP providing Financial
Dashboard for top Management
  • Plan control and evaluate the operations of information systems and electronic data processing.
  • Suggest the necessary upgrades for the systems used in and its managed properties.
  • Report any issues related to ICT to Dhiaffa & Find Management for approval or advice.
  • Seek and recommend any programs or hardware which may improve the day to day business of Omran’s hotel Dhiaffa and properties.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or any other related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience.
  • Hotel experience will be an advantage.
