Position: Purchasing Expert- Secondment Opportunity (6 months)-National Omani Hospitality Company (Dhiaffa)

Purpose
The Purchasing Expert is responsible for evaluating and optimizing the purchasing systems across Dhiaffa’s hotel portfolio. The candidate must be Omani, have
previous experience working with Omran, and possess a deep understanding of purchasing processes. This role focuses on improving purchasing procedures,
driving price reduction and increasing efficiency through a centralized purchasing approach.
 
Purchasing System Evaluation
  • Evaluate the purchasing systems currently in use across all Dhiaffa-managed hotels to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of procurement processes, supplier agreements, and cost structures, ensuring alignment with best practices and operational goals.
  • Review current purchasing contracts and relationships, identifying opportunities for better pricing, terms, and supplier performance.
Centralized Purchasing Approach
  • Develop and implement a centralized approach to purchasing for Dhiaffa’s hotels, streamlining procurement processes and increasing cost-effectiveness.
  • Work closely with hotel general managers and procurement teams to consolidate purchasing activities, ensuring that the new centralized approach meets operational needs.
  • Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure better pricing, improved terms, and stronger supplier relationships that benefit the entire portfolio.
Cost Reduction & Efficiency Improvement
  • Implement strategies to reduce purchasing costs without compromising on quality or service standards.
  • Monitor and assess purchasing performance to ensure ongoing cost savings, efficiency improvements, and timely deliveries.
  • Identify areas where purchasing automation can be used to streamline processes and reduce human error.
  • Continuously review and improve the procurement processes to enhance efficiency and supplier performance.
Compliance & Procedure Implementation
  • Ensure that all purchasing activities comply with Omran’s procurement policies and procedures, including legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement standardized purchasing procedures across all Dhiaffa hotels, ensuring consistency and accountability.
  • Provide training and support to hotel purchasing teams, helping them adopt new procedures and systems efficiently.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in procurement or purchasing, with prior experience working at Omran.
  • In-depth understanding of purchasing systems, procurement processes, and supplier management.
